This conference facilitated a multidisciplinary and multi-perspective exploration of the identity, roles, and potential of Buddhist traditions in the modern world.
The event was held over several days and featured a series of both remote and in-person sessions at the Veneto Institute of Sciences, Letters, and Arts in Venice, organized by the Research Center with financial support from the Ministry of Culture. It was also sponsored by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, the FISPPA Department of the University of Padua, and the Veneto Region.

About the Conference:
How can Buddhist thought contribute to the global challenges we face today? How can we harness the richness of traditional contemplative practices using the tools available to us now? The Italian Buddhist Union has bridged the gap between the monastic and academic worlds, fostering a dialogue among Italian and international experts on the most pertinent issues in contemporary Buddhism.
