Investigating Consciousness Beyond Reductionism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">February 21-23, 2024 - University of Padova<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Addressing a crucial question through non-reductionist approaches.\u00a0<\/span>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The international conference The Elephant in the Room, held from 21 to 23 February 2024 at the University of Padova, was an important opportunity for dialogue on the topic of consciousness from an interdisciplinary perspective. The event was jointly organized by the Research Center of the Italian Buddhist Union, the University of Padova (Postgraduate Program in Contemplative Studies), and the India Foundation, in collaboration with Mind and Life Europe, Ottawa University, and Mind Care Foundation.<\/p>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L\u2019evento ha riunito esperti di neuroscienze, filosofia della mente, fisica e ricerca contemplativa con l\u2019obiettivo di esplorare <strong>la natura della coscienza<\/strong>, una delle questioni pi\u00f9 complesse e irrisolte del nostro tempo. Il convegno ha affrontato le <\/span><b>sfide teoriche e metodologiche poste dallo studio della coscienza<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, mettendone in luce la centralit\u00e0 nei dibattiti contemporanei, anche alla luce degli sviluppi in ambiti come l\u2019intelligenza artificiale e le biotecnologie.<\/span>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ogni relatore \u00e8 stato invitato a rispondere alla domanda fondamentale <strong>\u201cChe cos\u2019\u00e8 la coscienza?\u201d<\/strong>, offrendo argomentazioni e ipotesi di ricerca.
