For those interested in the relationship between Buddhism and artificial intelligence, we would like to highlight two international events taking place at Gomde Austria<\/strong> in July 2026<\/strong>: the course \u201cBuddhist Ways to Being Human in the Age of AI<\/strong>\u201d, scheduled from July 1 to 12, 2026<\/strong>, and the conference \u201cBuddhism and AI<\/strong>\u201d, scheduled from July 9 to 12, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Both events are part of the Buddhism and AI Collaborative Summer Initiative<\/strong> and are co-organized by the UBI Research Center<\/strong>, together with Dharma Gate Buddhist College, Gomde Austria<\/strong>, and other international partners engaged in research and reflection on the relationship between Buddhism and artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n

The course offers a programme dedicated to exploring how Buddhism can provide tools for understanding the challenges posed by emerging technologies, while questioning the boundaries of intelligence and human capacities. The programme combines academic lectures, meditation sessions, and scriptural study<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The conference will bring together scholars and experts working in this emerging field of research, with the aim of exploring how Buddhist ideas can shed light on the increasingly close encounter between human awareness and machine learning. Among the listed faculty and speakers are John Dunne, Peter D. Hershock, Gabor Karsai, Chiara Mascarello, and Francesco Tormen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
