Critical Futures

This area brings together cross-disciplinary research on major contemporary issues – from ecology to artificial intelligence, from consciousness to new models of knowledge – explored through the lens of Buddhist traditions in dialogue with the sciences and the humanities.

This area is dedicated to cross-disciplinary research that brings Buddhist perspectives into dialogue with the major challenges of our time.

It encompasses themes such as consciousness and subjectivity, artificial intelligence, the ecological crisis, sustainability, the ethics of care, and the transformation of educational systems.

Buddhism is explored not only as a spiritual tradition but also as a critical framework and philosophical perspective capable of offering tools for engaging with complexity, fostering new models of knowledge, and contributing to the construction of more inclusive and conscious futures.

The approach is interdisciplinary, intercultural, and oriented toward transformation, in collaboration with scientific and academic international communities.
